I do work by sending any LMO jobs to LMOfinder.com
This is how they work. I cut and pasted it from their site.
I dont care about the people that are losing time. They either dont have the skills, or the cost was too high to bring them.
As for how I work, most of my time is spent in Government relations.
This program is finishing, so in reality we dont really care what happens. We are moving on to the next part. This was to handle the existing people that were here...
Temporary Foreign Workers Programs For Low Skilled Capped
Likely in 2016, The Low Skilled TFW Program Closed.
Due to abuse of not only the program by workers intending to use the program to obtain immigration, but by the workers being taken advantage of by unscrupulous employers, this program is in the starting stages of being wound down. The simple fact is that for many years this program was one where foreign workers came to Canada to work, and after a prescribed period they applied for permanent residency, and then citizenship. As signaled by Minister Jason Kenney in his June 20th statement and announcement of the changes, that time has come to an end. From this point forward, low skilled workers, are allowed to come to Canada on a one year contract, renewable one time for a total of two years. At the termination of that period, the WORKER MUST LEAVE THE COUNTRY. A low skilled worker is someone determined as being paid less than the provincial median wage, which varies by province. The table is located here. which is determined by the wage that they are paid, based on this table, HERE. If a worker makes less than this amount, then they are low skilled.
Conversely, should a foreign worker make a wage higher than that amount, they are considered a skilled worker, regardless of the NOC code. Therefore while we are seeking to find our clients that position, a number of other positions of limited duration ( low skilled ) are found. If you are interested in one of these positions, please advise us as soon as possible, as they are much easier to find.
What We Do and How We Do It.
What you are paying for, & what you can expect explained.
We are not an immigration broker, nor are we a recruiter. We are a company that is defined as a submission service. We first modify your resume/CV to conform with Canadian standards and expectations. We then have full time telemarketers that contact companies from the list of employers with approved LMO's, which was the precursor to the new LMIA program. They contact the employer, and submit to them a proposal to hire one of our clients. We act as assistance for the employer, as we offer to for no charge, file their LMIA paperwork. We also maintain for free, the advertising mandated by the ESDC so that they have a worry free application process. Currently, immigration consultants charge sometimes thousands of dollars for that service. But as we stipulate, that if we do this for the business, then the business will hire one of our clients. This is a quid pro quo arrangement. They get something for free that is worth money to them, and we get to make certain one of our clients, or more, get the positions once the LMIA is approved.
Costs are :
In Canada beginning at $500. CDN
Non Visa required overseas: Beginning at $700
Countries where even a visitors visa is required: Beginning at $1000
Our Methods & Process
Resume Review & Rewrite
Send the correct resume/CV for the job you apply for!
Do not sabotage yourself before you begin. We professionally review and re-write your resume for each position that you are applying for. If you want a job in food service, it does not make sense to send a resume highlighting your abilities with carpentry tools. We tailor your resume for the job that is being applied for, and we make certain that your cover letter is addressed to the proper person in the proper place.
This is because resumes & CVs are different country to country, and from place to place within that country.
Proposals & Alliances
We partner with trainers and recruiters to package labour
Sometimes, in order to cover the cost of getting you a position that will allow you to make a wage high enough to the employer of paying you above median provincial wage, we work with recruiters in order to "package" labour. This would mean that the worker would get the job rate that you need to be considered skilled, and the recruiter would provide 2-5 Canadian employees from Central Canada and high unemployment areas of Canada to start work at the employer at the same time. This lowers the average cost of the labour to a level acceptable to the employer.
Case Study
A worker wants to come to Canada as a skilled worker with the long term goal of obtaining permanent residency. Due to the fact it is Alberta, the person has to make a wage of over $24/hr in order to qualify as skilled. In order to bring that cost into line, we arrange for 3 other positions to be hired at the same time, at rates commensurate with experience. These would be Canadian Citizens. Therefore the employer has filled a space in his staff of 4 people, and with averaging the costs associated, this makes the amounts paid out by the employer as commensurate with hiring an 4 semi-skilled people. The employer has a large gap in the workforce filled, and the TFW worker qualifies for a skilled worker. This ensures that not only is it a win for the employer, but a win for the worker, and a win for the Canadian workers as well. The best solutions is where all parties are pleased fully with the arrangements.Further to that, we also partner with training firms, where the Canada Economic action plan money comes into effect, the cost is further reduced by the fact the grants subsidizes the wages of the new hires. This lowers the group average levels to that of below average market value, further enhancing the profitability to the employer, and making it well worth the employers time and effort to accept this proposal.
